Ted talk notes

a charity should be run like  a business.  judge it on the funds distributed not the operational costs. this talk discusses the success of a charity that raised millions where there were thousands before yet was vilified for experiences.

Dan Pollata – Think about Charity – spend money to raise money – a full page add n the NY Times costs more but raises much much more – 5% operating budget in not realistic – compensation for a Stanford NBA is $400,000 the CEO of a hunger charity makes 100,000 why would the  Stanford NBA work for a hunger charity?  We need to spend on advertising and jobs to improve the capital.
